Built from the inside out
Post Forge
The story of why it exists, what it does, and whether it’s right for you.
I built Post Forge for myself.
I had a travel blog — still do. I went to Europe, I’m planning to go back, and I wanted a place to tell that story and save what I was learning for next time. Then it got to be a lot of work.
So I started a gardening blog. Wrote a bunch of posts, got excited about it. Then it got to be a lot of work.
Started a keto diet. Built another site. More posts, more excitement. Then life happened, and that one went quiet too.
Three blogs. All neglected. All still meaning well.
That’s when the light bulb went on.
What I built to solve my own problem is called Post Forge. It’s on version 3.0 — though Post Forge 8.7 is probably closer to the truth. It has been through every failure and breakthrough that it takes to build something that actually works.
And it works.
It writes, publishes, and advertises your posts.
Here’s how it starts. You give me the foundational information — your niche, your audience, what your site is about. A few login permissions so Post Forge can publish to your WordPress site. Your Pinterest board for distribution. And the days of the week you want to post.
You can post once a week or seven days a week — that’s entirely up to you. I recommend three times a week. It accumulates faster than you’d think, and it doesn’t trigger any spam filters.
Then I plug everything into the Post Forge fuel tank, and the engine roars to life.
From there, here’s what happens without you lifting a finger:
- Post Forge reads your existing posts and categories — cross-linking new posts to your existing content, one of the best SEO boosts your site can get, and it brings your older posts back to life in the process
- Every new post fits into your existing categories — nothing gets repeated
- Each post gets a custom featured image, created for that post, stored in your media library, and attached automatically
- A focused keyphrase and meta description are created and loaded directly into Yoast for SEO
- The moment a post goes live, Post Forge takes that same image and description and creates a Pinterest pin — linked directly back to the post, posted to the board you choose
Your blog grows. Your Pinterest grows. You go about your day, your week, your life.
Does this work for you?
I don’t know — that’s your call.
Will it work for you? This I do know — yes, it will. It will work tirelessly, without regret, without writer’s block, without you burning the midnight oil.
Your blog will come back to life.
All you have to do is say “let’s go.”
So — does this work for you?
